"In an  office of 20 or 30 people, when 5 or 6 people are dealing with this same issue, we have a bigger problem on our hands. This is affecting everybody." - Monica, "walk talk dance sing"
Long story short, when I was first diagnosed, I was put on Synthroid and, being a "pill virgin" and new to this "little blue pill world," I had no idea what was going on, and no idea that I was bumping and spinning about like a drugged-up freaky zombie. Prior to being drugged, I was dealing with classic symptoms of Hashimoto's, however I was still functioning and doing a thorough job at work. I just needed to learn how to address what was happening to my body-- properly.
As a direct result of being drugged up, spacey and oblivious, I lost my job. I had never been FIRED before. So now, besides dealing with my health issue, I had to deal with the demoralizing and confusing blow to my self-esteem and self-worth, and no job. The added emotional stress exacerbated my health crisis greatly.
This should never have happened.  I was not incompetent, far from it. My doctor was. My employer did not grasp this, and neither did I at the time.
My story is not uncommon.
Please talk to your HR department to book a screening and discussion. This is a human resources issue if ever there was one. Providing this informative film forum will move EVERYONE forward in a positive, empowered way. People will not view this film together, with its imagery, music and messages,  and "remain the same" afterwards. The awareness, understanding and compassion each person takes from this is transformative and lasting, and will directly impact the energy, wellness, morale and productivity of the workplace.
“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.”

walk talk dance sing: "the little Hashimoto's film on a mission"

"Incredible. A must-see film about Hashimoto's." - Dana Trentini,

"Oh my, oh my! I just watched it. I cried through most of it. I knew it was going to touch me but never dreamed at what level. Thank you so very much for this project. " - thyroid patient

"I made this film because it was time to change the story, and to make things better. As a filmmaker, I could not predict how this would affect audiences. It turns out that many have found important information and comfort from this film. Many have also said they have shared it with my family and friends who could not understand this health issue previously, and now have empathy and the ability to offer the necessary support. It really puts things into the proper perspective." - Donna-Lynne Larson, producer/director/writer
This is a 75 minute program so be sure to set aside enough time to watch it. And don't forget to share this film with family, friends and co-workers.

HERE IT IS! (more reviews below)

This raw, real, and artsy docu-drama, made by a Hashimoto's patient, takes a moving look at thyroid disease from the patients' perspective. This informative and provocative film raises public awareness and deepens our understanding, while also setting the stage for a shift towards ending this insidious health epidemic.

We hope you will take away some comfort and validation, ask a new question, and/or gain a meaningful "aha." We encourage all thyroid patients to view this with those they live and work with. It will make a world of difference. Recommended viewing: computer monitor or television screen.
